Use of Accommodation

Only the Guest and members of their party notified on the Booking Form are permitted to occupy the accommodation. Children under 2 are not permitted in the property unless by special arrangement as the house has bunk beds with fixed ladders, a wood burning stove and a terraced garden.

Deposit

The balance of the rental fee (and the refundable damage deposit) is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival, the total rental fee must accompany the Booking Form.

A refundable damage deposit of £500 is due with the rental fee and will be repaid within 7 days of the end of the rental period subject to any deductions for damage and/or extra cleaning. In the event that any damage costs more than £500 to remediate guests will be charged for the additional amount.

Booking Your Stay

Bookings are to be made by email to Sophie Hoult and the booking is firm once a completed and signed Booking Form, together with a 30% non-refundable deposit for each booking has been received by Sophie. Email confirmation will be sent acknowledging receipt of the deposit.

Sky Packages

Our SKY package includes most SKY channels. Please do not download paid for movies or other SKY services. Any SKY charges incurred by guests will be invoiced separately including an administrative charge.

Cancellation

Any cancellation must be made by email to Sophie Hoult. If cancellation occurs within 8 weeks of the arrival date, we will use our best endeavours to re-let the accommodation and, if successful, a full refund less the non-refundable deposit will be made. In the event of only part re-let, a part refund will be made; in the event of the booking not being re-let, the full rental fee will be due.

Damage

A damage deposit of £500 will be taken at the same time as the full booking fee. It will be returned within 7 days of your departure assuming there is no damage or excess cleaning costs required. Guests must agree to take good care of the accommodation and its contents and on departure leave it in a clean and tidy condition. All damages and breakages are the responsibility of the Guest, and their replacement or repair cost will be charged to the Guest and reimbursed to the Owner on demand. However, minor breakages will not normally be charged. Please report any damage or breakages to Tracey Collins at Wight Property Management as soon as possible so items can be mended or replaced before the next guest’s arrival. In the event that any damage costs more than £500 to remediate guests will be charged for the additional amount.

Liability

The Owner shall not be liable to the Guest or members of his party for any accident, loss or damage, injury, expenses, or inconvenience that may be incurred in connection with the rental howsoever suffered or incurred by the Guest.

WE RECOMMEND THAT GUESTS TAKE OUT INSURANCE FOR SUCH EVENTS.
